Why we show you the number first
Most of this market makes you ask. Experian's self-serve option was retired, so its business data is quote-only; brokers quote per project; subscription tools ration how many rows you can export and only tell you the segment size after you have paid to get in. That is fine when you already know the supplier. It is a bad deal when you are deciding whether a supplier is worth an email.
So the number is free and it is exact. If your segment turns out to be 40 companies, you should know that before you pay us anything — and we would rather tell you than sell you a file that disappoints. If it is 40,000, you can see that too, and decide how much of it you actually need.

Questions
Is the count real or an estimate?
Real. Every active company on the Companies House register is pre-counted into cells of sector (SIC division), postcode area and company age, so whatever you select is a plain sum of those cells — not a model, not a sample. The snapshot date is shown above the count.
Do I have to give an email to see the number?
No. The count, the sector totals and the price are free and need no signup. You only give us details if you decide to order the cut.
What do I actually get?
A clean UTF-8 CSV of the companies matching your segment: company number, name, status, category, incorporation date, SIC codes, registered town, county and postcode, with a per-row freshness date. Tick the enrichment box and we also discover and verify each company's own website and add contact-page URL, tech-stack and hiring signals — company-level only.
Why is the price the same whether I order 200 rows or 1,000?
Because the work is the cut, not the row. We publish three fixed tiers instead of metering per record, so the price you see is the price you pay. If your segment is bigger than a tier's cap, order the top slice or move up a tier — both are shown as you change the row count.
Does this include personal contact data?
Never. No scraped emails, phone numbers or director home addresses — company-level fields and a company's own public website only. That is a deliberate line: it keeps the data safe to use for B2B prospecting under UK GDPR.
How current is the register data?
The count runs against the most recent monthly Companies House bulk snapshot, dated on the page. The file you receive is built at order time against the newest register data we hold, and every row carries its own freshness date.
